Job Title:             TRAINING SPECIALIST

Department:        HUMAN RESOURCES

Reports to:          CFO


Schedule:            8 AM – 5 PM


Summary of duties and responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for training employees and verifying that training was effective.
  2. Reports on the performance and status of the companies training processes / procedures and recommends any needs for improvement.


Primary duties and responsibilities:

  1. Communicate with managers to determine training needs and schedule training sessions.
  2. Design effective training programs.
  3. Conduct seminars, workshops, and individual training sessions personally, and where necessary, along with process specific trainers.
  4. Prepare educational material such as handouts, PowerPoints, videos etc.
  5. Support and mentor new employees.
  6. Keep training attendance and other records.
  7. Monitor employee performance and response to training.
  8. Conduct audits to verify competency and identify areas of improvement.
  9. Inspects process outputs, trends issues found during audits and adjusts training / processes accordingly in conjunction with department manager.
  10. Conducts annual competency verification for all employees in all departments.
  11. Qualify process specific trainers.
  12. Creates and executes plans to support business goals.
  13. Performs other related duties and assignments as required.


Education, prior work experience and specialized skills and knowledge:

  1. High School diploma, Associate’s degree, or equivalent experience is preferred
  2. 3+ years of business experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  3. Strong written/verbal communication skills.
  4. Strong Microsoft Office skills.


Physical environment/working conditions:

  1. Both office and factory settings.
